Summer is here! Win a Big Game Hunter's Sandpit

The last few weeks has allowed us to get outside to enjoy the beginning of the British Summer. As always the weather is far from predictable, but that doesn’t stop my 3 year old getting out and about. The last couple of weeks has been spent getting out on the scooters and picking up speed on the drive, it has taken us to the seaside and given us time to play in the garden.

The garden is a treasure trove of adventure, a new mystery hiding under every rock. With a collection of toys that date back right to my childhood, there is plenty to be getting on with. The climbing frame that we got when I was younger, is still getting some use to this day now that Leo is getting to the right age. There is the old swing frame that we now sit Leo in so he can fly through infinity and beyond.

Then of course there is Leo’s play house, the play house that we got for his 2nd birthday. Inside the playhouse there is a wooden kitchen that Leo and his younger cousin love to include in their make believe play. They take it in turns to go up the steps and down the slide the other side. Of course now it is warming up we are seeing a lot more water play, and this often means them turning their regular slide into water slide central.

It’s amazing the difference a bit of water makes to just how fast they slide down, how much wider the smiles become and how much dirtier they are when they do eventually come back in the house. Water play seems to make everything better, I can remember having the most crazy of water fights as a child and I know it won’t be long before Leo is hankering after his very own water gun… I already have visions of how that might turn out!

Water play goes hand in hand with sand play, and boy can I remember the fun… Wait I mean the mess! Yes I remember the mess I used to cause when it came to combining both sand and water play together. Think mud pies, think the nice diningware from the house.. Oh the fun I used to have! I have tried to show Leo the joys of making mud pies, and I think this year is the year that he’s really going to appreciate them, and I… Well I will regret showing him! Maybe we will keep it for a game at Granny’s house!

Now the sun is making an appearance we are all looking to get out of the house more, Our thoughts are turning to the great outdoors and were getting all of our favourite play equipment out from the shed. So while we are all in such high spirits and reveling in the British Summertime, I thought that now would be a great time to introduce a rather exciting giveaway!

I have teamed up with Big Game Hunters just in time for Summer and have a lovely wooden sandpit up for grabs!

The sandpit is a 1.2m square and is the ideal shape and size for most modern gardens. The clever design allows it to accommodate up to 4 children whilst not needing vast amounts of sand. On two opposite sides of the sandpit there are wide ledges which make ideal seats, and when not being used as seats they make perfect shelves for buckets and spades! A sand pit cover is included which of course is a vital necessity to stop sand from going bad, and there is also geo-textile membrane included which prevents weeds and grass growing up into the sandpit.

To be in with a chance of winning this fab prize, simply follow the Rafflecopter widget  below!

Good luck!
