The Easywalker June Footmuff Review

Autumn is well and truly upon us, with the leaves now falling from the trees we are also greeted with chilly mornings and colder days. It really is the time of year you start thinking about wrapping up warm.

With the cold creeping up on me, my thoughts have certainly steered that way. I have pulled out my winter coat from the back of the wardrobe, even though I was actually still wearing this coat in the chillier parts of May!

But here we are, back in October…Gearing up for another Winter after not really having any Summer to scream and shout about.

This is now Leo’s second year of the changing seasons and keeping Leo toasty warm is my main priority.

We have big coats and snowsuits for Leo but I sometimes find these a bit of a faff when it comes to strapping Leo into his stroller and having to adjust all of the harness in order to accommodate for the extra padding.

I feel that the best thing to do is invest in a Footmuff.

A Footmuff allows you to keep your baby warm while out and about, but upon returning home you can undo bits and remove them so that your little one does not over heat. When Leo has fallen asleep in his snow suits in the past I have struggled to keep him cool upon coming home, as if I was to start taking off his snow suit he undoubtedly would wake up.

Easywalker have kindly sent me the Footmuff for the new June that we have the pleasure of using, and now with Autumn slowly turning into Winter the time has come to make sure Leo is going to be snug on our adventures outside and beyond.

The Footmuff comes in a range of colours that you can co-ordinate with your June stroller. Leo and I have a Black and Red stroller, so we decided to keep the striking theme going with a Red Footmuff.

The other colour choice that are available are:

- Black
- Blue
- Pink
- Off White

The Footmuff is compiled out of soft waterproof and windproof material, so you can rest assured that your little one is completely sheltered from the elements. With both of these great properties you may be expecting anything but a soft duvet like texture to this Footmuff, but I am pleased to report that it is incredibly soft to the touch.

The real treat however is on the inside, where your baby is wrapped up nice and warm within the velvet fur that lines all around the inside of the Footmuff.

There are poppers on the front of the Footmuff that allow you to fold down the Footmuff to allow baby to move his hands, of course if it is bitterly cold you can just un-pop the poppers and completely wrap them up.

The Footmuff is very simple to attach into the June and incredibly secure, simply requiring you to un-strap the harness and feed the straps through the Footmuff and doing everything back up again. The great thing is that you only need to do this once and can then leave it in for the duration of Winter should you need too.

If the weather is mild and you don’t need the full use of the Footmuff you can even use is as a seat liner. The entire front of the Footmuff can be un-zipped and completely removed. I think this is really handy, especially if you have been out and about in the cold like I have with Leo in the past, and he has decided to go off to sleep. I can bring him into the house, unzip the Footmuff and let him continue his snooze in peace, without the worry that he may get too warm.

I was not sure what to expect from the Easywalker June Footmuff as I had not come accross much about it online. I have since discovered more information on the Easywalker website, with a list of retailers that will be stocking the June Footmuff.

I am so impressed by all of the features that have been put into the Footmuff. It is very luxurious and I am looking forward to using it over the colder months.

We have been using it so far and Leo has been very content, it has certainly been doing the job.

I am sure Leo is going to be as snug as a bug in a rug this Winter.

Easywalker have created a luxury Footmuff and even managed to add in the water proofing and wind proofing without taking anything away from the over all feel to the Footmuff.

You can purchase the Easywalker June Footmuff from Pram World for £84.99.
