Sponsored Video: UNICEF Partner with Domestos

I have spoken about UNICEF very recently and all of their hard work that they are putting into helping families who live without basic sanitation. UNICEF have teamed up with Domestos to hep improve access to the facilities that you and I take for granted.

They will be supporting UNICEF's Community Approaches to Total Sanitation (CATS) Programme, in order to help improve access to the likes of basic sanitation. Did you know that 2.5 billion people live without access to safe toilets? And that EVERY DAY 2,000 children die from diarrhea? To me these figures are just shocking, and completely preventable.

CATS promotes good hygiene practices, helps create demand for access to toilets and raises awareness of the sanitation crisis in order to reduce disease transmission. Want to know more about this partnership? Go to their official website right here.

You may not realise that poor sanitation is one of the biggest problems throughout the world, especially in third world countries. It is currently estimated to be affecting at least 2.5 billion people throughout the world, who do not have access to the improved sanitation that you and I have come to expect.

Now that is one crazy figure!

Domestos are contributing 5% of it's average proceeds received from the sale of specially marked bottles of Domestos in select countries (UK, Ireland, Poland, Vietnam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates) to UNICEF’s CATS programmes in South Sudan and Vietnam.

This partnership is just one the of the ways that Unilever are pushing forward, in their aim to reach their impressive sustainability goal. This goal is to help more than 1 billion people take the action to ultimately improve their health and well being.
