A Plum Baby Party

Today I hosted a very exciting event, a party to introduce our close friends and baby's to the adventure that is food. The party was hosted in my humble abode, and we were joined by our friends, baby friends and the lovely Lindsay from Plum Baby.

Plum are on the hunt for Plumbassador's - parent's who believe in Plum's delicious recipes, and have tried and tested them with their babies on their weaning adventure. Today's party was the very first of it's kind and  is paving the way for many other party's in the future.

The aim of the party is to introduce Plum Baby food to real parent's and allow everyone, parent's and babies to taste the food for themselves. The Plum concept demonstrates that baby food does not have to be bland and boring just because they are young, it can be exciting and tasty, tickling their taste buds in all the right places.

In fact that is what our little people are craving...

Being the host's of this delightful party was a really rewarding experience, and I was more than happy to get as many friends as possible involved in the exciting Plum adventure. Did I mention that Leo was even given a very lovely vest for the occasion? In lovely Plum colored font on the front it say's 'To grow just add Plum'!

So what happened at our Plum Party?
Mum's and babies arrived at around 1pm this afternoon, and were met by Lindsay and myself. Lindsay had brought along some real treats for the party, helium balloons galore and enough food to feed a whole kindergarten!

Upon my request all the Mummy's held off on their baby's lunch, to make sure they had lot's of room to sample all of the tasty recipes that were on offer to them.

What's on the Plum Party Menu?
- Sweet Cape Curry with Beef
- Chickpea and Chicken Tagine
- Mediterranean Paella and Salmon
- Aubergine and Lamb Moussaka

We were all set up in the front lounge and the babies were all having a lovely time, crawling around and tasting many new flavours for the very first time. The food was a great hit, as were the balloons, and the lucky little babies were even provided with snacks to sample after they had finished their main course of lunch.

It was so sweet watching the babies explore each other and tasting new foods that they could not get enough of. Upon looking around the room I could certainly see some little ones getting their Taste Adventure food pot's on express delivery to their wide open, expectant mouths.

The greedy little babies were grazing all afternoon, continuing their playful games and then locating that biscuit they thought they had lost a few moments earlier. We had placed a protective matt on the carpet, but by the end of the party that had been pulled up and the babies made the most of crawling or walking over the remaining forgotten crumbs.

It was a great afternoon and something I know that each and every Mummy and baby has taken something away from. The tidying up was a piece of cake, and took no more than Five minutes to vacuum up once everyone had eaten their fill and taken their very tired baby home, after a great time playing and munching.

You will see from these photos that the babies each had a amazing time....I will let the images do the talking!
